1/7 of the world's population goes to sleep hungry every night. This utensil attempts to illustrate that surprisingly large statistic whilst one eats. The user is disconnected from those people inherently and this spoon tries to remind them of those people while demonstrating that disconnect. The cut out represents the 1/7 and the clear plastic shows that disconnect. Finally the spoon is stained with coffee to show how farmers are some of the biggest victims of hunger because of changing climates and infrastructure.
