Relationships are like pressure cookers in which emotions are heightened, events between a partnership can lead to instability, and thus we learn about our selves at a faster rate. Created over the last few months, each hanging in the piece represents a different moment in the end of my relationship. I made each panel on a knitting machine and then dunked them in plaster. This piece explores how one can feel happy, content, broken, whole and depressed at within a very short time frame. In yoga, the child’s pose position allows one to feel every move that their body just made, good or bad, in this comfortable, relaxed position. This is my attempt at a child’s pose.
