While wrestling with feeling of self-doubt and indecision I attempted to make a sculptural self- portrait. Instead of replicating my body in a perfect image I put whatever I was feeling at that moment into this massive lump. These feelings were translated through texture, material, and process. Whether in was crumpling up old newspaper, splattering plaster, or finding objects to include on the studio floor, by adding another layer each day this piece became a day to day log of my feelings.

Materials: plaster, string, plastic, foam, bubble wrap, newspaper, metal mesh, thumb tacks, staples
