I designed this logo for Louisiana Just Recovery Network- an organization that I have been working with over the last year. LJRN’s mission is to support the descendant communities of Southern LA as they repair, recover, and thrive from climate disaster and environmental injustice. After Hurricane Ida, LJRN began working with different community based organizations to organize immediate rebuilding efforts in St. James Parish. Their  network shares a uniting long-term vision of climate and environmental justice that prioritizes just and equitable investments in economic diversification and a just transition, renewable energy, critical infrastructure, waste reduction and communities of care. This vision supports safe, well-paying jobs, reduction of post-disaster waste, resilient and fortified construction, and ultimately strengthens community and economic resilience on the frontlines of climate disaster and environmental injustice.

This logo was designed to illustrate how we are connected- the river and construction.

Homa Hoofdar is a well known Iranian social anthropologist at Concordia University and a family friend. She is a dual citizen, and when she returned to Tehran to visit family, her passport was confiscated and she was banned from leaving the country. They labeled her a "feminist" and detained her without making the charges against her public. The government transferred her to an Evin prison where she was held for an additional three months, often times in solitary confinement. Justin Trudeau was instrumental in her release from prison and her eventual return to Canada. You can read more about her time in prison and her release via the link below.

I designed this logo for her release campaign. It became the main image used for the campaign and was used in protests from India to Canada, put on tee shirts and pins, and used in news segments. I designed this graphic to capture key bits of her personality- she always wore bright colors and bold lips- as well as illustrate her eventual release from prison.

Lil Bits Cloth is a clothing company I founded that specializes in naturally dyed, handmade clothing. In terms of branding for the company I wanted to be as transparent as possible about the what went into each garment and remind people how like our food, the clothes were also made using all natural ingredients. For a booth at DC pop up Femme Fatale, I designed tags for clothing, business cards, a small catalog, and an order sheet that emphasized the clean making process.
This game was inspired by the TED talk “Teaching with the World Peace Game” by John Hunter. (http://www.ted.com/talks/john_hunter_on_the_world_peace_game) In this talk Hunter explains how he challenges his forth grade students to solve on the world problems in a very complicated world peace game. I wanted to use his idea and make a simpler, more accessible board game. My game is called Weight of the World and is almost a monopoly version of his game.

For this project we had to redesign a shoe for a large activewear company. Pointe shoes breakdown very easily and need to be replaced weekly for professional ballerina. I chose to create a practice point shoe that had a replaceable sleeve making it last longer. I designed the shoe and the ad for it. The background of the ad is made from dancing on black and white paint.
