To me this piece discusses the thin balance of being vulnerable versus strong and protecting ones self versus being intimate with others. I see the growths out coming off the strong cylindrical base as portals for ones private, vulnerable self, represented by the seeps roving, to bust out perhaps inappropriately or perhaps burst out very appropriately. Using a forge I formed the growns and using a combination of mig and oxyacetylene welding I adhered them onto the structure and then added details. I stuffed the structure with unspun sheeps fibers.

Materials: Metal, sheep’s roving
